![]() ![]() I am currently totally stuck so will resort to anything. ![]() Which file is telling the system that it is half way through an install - can i just delete this or what. Does anybody know what i can do to get the system to conitnue with a normal boot and not attempt to restart the setup procedure. I have just copies a DOS boot disk at work which i can now use to attack at a lower level if need be. If i try to start without the CD in the bay of course it experiences a fatal error. all of these seem to work but as soon as windows starts again it says something like 'resuming setup procedure' and soon finds itself back at the stuck position. ![]() I have tried running the floppies to do recoveries, emergency recoveries etc. got as far as Installing devices and stops 3/4 of way along Ran Setup from CD within Windows (i think) Decided to reinstall win 2000 from CD due to a number of niggling problems. ![]()
